Is it worth fixing my phone?

We get this question daily. A few quick rules of thumb:

  • If the repair costs less than 50% of a comparable refurb, it's usually worth it.
  • Consider data and downtime: if you need your phone right away or have irreplaceable photos, repair saves time.
  • Older devices with outdated OS or broken logic boards may be better candidates for a trade-in.

Still unsure? Send us your model and we'll advise—no pressure.

What is board-level repair?

Instead of replacing an entire logic board, we identify and replace individual components—tiny chips, capacitors and connectors. This requires specialized equipment and training but often salvages important data and saves money compared to a board swap.

Board-level work includes:

  • No-power and boot-loop diagnoses via short detection
  • Replacing damaged connectors (USB-C, lightning, headphone jacks)
  • Recovering data by microsoldering and chip-off techniques

Caring for 3D printed parts

PLA is rigid and loves cool temperatures; PETG is tougher and heat-resistant; TPU is flexible. To get the most from your prints:

  • Keep PLA away from car dashboards and sunny windows—it can warp.
  • Lightly sand PETG parts before painting; use epoxy for a glossy finish.
  • Use TPU parts for flexible hinges and vibration mounts; avoid prolonged sunlight.
